Il pericolo è reale
L’allarme lanciato in questi giorni dalla Fnomceo e dai sindacati di categoria sulla carenza dei medici è reale. “Sono stati i nostri numeri e la nostra voce a sollevare il problema”, commenta il presidente dell’Enpam Alberto Oliveti.
Ad aver provocato la situazione attuale è stata una programmazione degli accessi alla formazione post-laurea inadeguata rispetto ai bisogni dei cittadini, sommata a un blocco delle convenzioni e del turn-over che sta ostacolando il graduale ingresso dei giovani medici.
“Quando si sbloccheranno le convenzioni e le assunzioni, l’Italia scoprirà amaramente che i giovani medici pronti ad essere inseriti sono inferiori alle esigenze – dice Oliveti –. Intanto con il passare del tempo aumenta l’età media dei camici bianchi che lavorano e si avvicina sempre di più il momento in cui dovranno andare in pensione”.
