Gli eccessi nelle prescrizioni esistono e rappresentano per i conti della Regione un problema di prima grandezza, ma non è vero che l'Amministrazione abbia ordinato ai medici di famiglia di tagliarle. Non quando siano necessarie alla salute del paziente. Lo afferma l'assessore regionale alla Salute del FVG Maria Sandra Telesca.
“Le nostre linee di gestione alle aziende del servizio sanitario parlano chiaro, occorre applicare una crescente appropriatezza alle prescrizioni e curare chi ha bisogno di cure, senza più eccessi che non possiamo permetterci”. Analogo discorso per la prescrizione dei farmaci, che “devono essere utilizzati dalle persone che ne hanno effettivo bisogno» e non come risposta generalizzata.
Curare quando serve. E siccome “sono e restano fondamentali i medici di famiglia, primo riferimento del Cittadino”, è proprio a loro che Telesca si rivolge per governare insieme un processo di risparmi progressivi senza negare le cure.
È vero, da una parte, che “le aziende hanno indicato una serie di elaborazioni ai medici di famiglia con le medie delle prescrizioni” conferma l'assessore regionale. Tuttavia dall'altro “è evidente che resterà sempre possibile sforare i limiti desiderati quando i pazienti e le loro patologie lo richiedano”. In altre parole: “Se un medico ha molti pazienti che richiedono l'applicazione di accertamenti e terapie - taglia corto Telesca - potrà sforare i valori desiderati e non succederà proprio niente. Resta il medico il giudice su cosa sia necessario e cosa non lo sia per il bene delle persone che a lui si rivolgono”.
